The area between Junín de los Andes and Alumine in Northern Patagonia is the most prolific dry fly fishing region in the world. The variety and abundance of fishable water would allow you to fish a different location each day for more than 100 days. Dry fly fishing is available throughout the entire season, November through May.

California Valley Quail, Callipepla Californica, were introduced to our part of the world over five decades ago. Our location in Junin de los Andes has provided the perfect elevation, climate and terrain for these birds to thrive. If you’re a bird hunter and enjoy fall fishing this is “the program” for you.

Spring Creek Lodge’s is home for the Set Fly Fishing´s Quail and Trout Program. The lodge, located on the banks of the upper Chimehuin River, has a 12-guest capacity. Six cabañas each feature two individual bedrooms with a shared bath, living room and outdoor porch. Gourmet dinners are served in the clubhouse while you enjoy the stunning views of the Lanin Volcano. The clubhouse also has a common sitting area and bar to enjoy a glass of wine, or your favorite beverage, after a day in the field.

Program Itinerary
DAY 1 – Arrive San Martin de los Andes Airport – Transfer to Spring Creek Lodge – Argentine wine tasting and welcome dinner

DAY 2 to DAY 7 – Three full days of quail hunting combined with three full days of trout fishing

DAY 8 – Private transfer to San Martin de los Andes Airport (CPC) – Fly back to Buenos Aires

Trip Price Includes: • One bilingual guide for every two hunters. Either one or two dogs per hunt depending upon field conditions. • One bilingual guide and boat per two anglers. • All fly fishing gear as needed. • Transportation between San Martin de los Andes Airport and Spring Creek Lodge. • Lodging in single rooms at Spring Creek Lodge with one cabaña per two hunters / anglers sharing a bathroom. • All chef prepared meals, beer, wine and drinks from the lodge’s bar. • Hunting and fishing license

Not Included: • International and local flights. • Transfers between Buenos Aires airports. • Gun Rental – we provide 20 gauge shotguns (over and under) at $60 per day. • Shells – cost of shells is $16 per box. • Gratuities.
